POC - POWER OVER COAX: This new technology allows common coaxial cameras to be powered directly via the video cable, on which the signal is sent using the same transmission medium. This technical concept is very similar to PoE, already widely used on IP devices and even earlier on old analog telephones. The coverage in terms of distance of this technology depends on the quality of the cable and the power supply required by the camera, in any case the guaranteed distances are greater than those of typical 12V power supplies, which have a decidedly greater loss. |
